All changes and improvements to Unit Converter, newest first. Each entry shows the version, the deployment date and time, and whether it is a new feature or a fix.

v1.9 Latest version Feature 2026-10-23 13:13

Mobile update: the app now adapts properly to phone screens. Form fields use a 16 px font on small screens, so mobile browsers no longer zoom in when you tap a field, buttons get a larger touch area, and wide grids, tables and long addresses wrap instead of running off the page. The donate button moves to the middle of the left edge so it no longer covers the footer links. The app also leaves beta: from version 1.0 the beta badge is gone.

v0.7 Feature 2026-10-16 16:54

Every category now explains itself and its units. A short paragraph above the all-units table says what the quantity actually measures — distance, two-dimensional extent, absorbed radiation dose and so on — and the table itself is split into labelled families, so you can see at a glance whether a unit is Metric / SI, Imperial & US, scientific, traditional or, for data, decimal versus binary. The families and descriptions cover all 30 categories and are translated into all five languages. Decimal and thousand separators can still be typed loosely, and nothing about the conversion itself has changed.

v0.1 Feature 2026-10-15 19:12

First beta release of Unit Converter. Convert between units in 30 categories — length, area, volume, mass, temperature, speed, time, data size, data rate, pressure, energy, power, force, angle, frequency, fuel economy, illuminance, luminance, acceleration, torque, density, flow rate, electric charge, current, voltage, resistance, capacitance, radioactivity, radiation dose and typography — covering metric, imperial and British as well as scientific and technical units. The pocket-calculator layout gives you a keypad, a value field that accepts loose decimal input such as 1.5, 1,5 or 1.000,5, two unit selectors with a swap button and a big copyable result. The table next to it lists every unit of the selected category at once and follows your input live — click a row to make it the target unit. Temperature conversion uses the correct affine scale, and fuel economy converts litres per 100 kilometres by division, not multiplication. Decimals can stay on Auto or be pinned to 0–8 places. Unit symbols stay language-neutral while the interface is available in English, German, French, Italian and Spanish. Every conversion runs in your browser; nothing is ever uploaded.
